Ingredients for cooking young potatoes with dill and garlic.

  1. Young potato 700 grams
  2. Dill 1 bunch
  3. Green garlic 2 pieces
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Vegetable oil 5 tablespoons
  • Main Ingredients: Potato, Garlic
  • Serving 3 servings

Saucepan, pan with a thick bottom, spatula, kitchen knife, cutting board.

Step 1: boil the potatoes.

I just rinse the potato very thoroughly, wiping it with a brush or a hard sponge to clean off a thin layer of the skin and all the sand.
Transfer the washed potatoes to a pan, fill with salted water and cook 10 minutes after boiling.

Step 2: fry the potatoes.

Drain the water from the boiled potato and transfer it to a frying pan with heated oil (I have a pan with a thick bottom and walls, but I can also have a thick-walled pan). Fry until golden brown, gently mixing so as not to break the potatoes.

Step 3: add the garlic and dill.

Finely chop the green garlic and add it to the potato pan.

Also finely chop the dill and send after the garlic.
Continue frying until the sides of the potatoes are completely rosy, then add more salt to taste (if necessary) and serve.

Step 4: serve the young potatoes with dill and garlic.

Young potatoes with dill and garlic are served hot to the table, so it is more flavorful and delicious. This dish can be served as the main one, as well as a side dish or appetizer. Very tasty, especially with sour cream, just lick your fingers. I don’t know if something can be tastier than a young potato with greens, I don’t even need meat here, as for me.
Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- Before serving, you can flavor the potatoes with a tablespoon of butter.
