Ingredients for cooking carp with tomatoes

  1. Carp 1.5 kilograms
  2. Tomato 2 pieces
  3. Garlic 2-3 cloves
  4. Sage 2-3 leaves
  5. Rosemary 1-2 sprigs
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Ground black pepper to taste
  8. Olive oil optional
  9. Lemon 1 piece

Baking tray, cutting board, kitchen knife.


Step 1: clean the fish.

Clean the carp, rinse, remove the entrails and scales. Cut the gills.
After washing, wipe the carp dry.

Step 2: we stuff carp with tomatoes.

Cut the tomatoes into thin slices. Cut garlic cloves lengthwise into 3-4 parts.
Season the carp with salt and pepper, rubbing it with spices both inside and out.
Inside the carp, in its cut stomach, lay pieces of tomato, garlic, sprigs of rosemary and sage leaves.

Step 3: bake carp with tomatoes.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Place stuffed carp on a greased baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes. For frying, oil the fish on top. You can also bake carp in foil, it’s already a matter of taste and personal preference.

Step 4: serve the carp with tomatoes.

Serve the carp with tomatoes hot, lay it on a pillow of fresh herbs, pour lemon juice on top and garnish with thin slices of lemon. I leave the side dish to your discretion, choose the same as usually served with any other fish.
